Advisory Panel Meets in Austin
The Advisory Panel of the VR Autism project met on May 10, 2010, at SEDL headquarters in Austin, Texas. Members of the panel include Frank McCamant, chair, Texas Council on Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders; Anna Hundley, executive director, Autism Treatment Centers; Bill Palmer, director, Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation; Don Uchida, executive director, Utah State Office of Rehabilitation; and Susan Foley, research director, Institute for Community Inclusion and Rehabilitation Research and Training Center of Vocational Rehabilitation, University of Massachusetts at Boston.
Due to a family emergency, Don Uchida was represented at the Advisory Panel meeting by Stacey Cummings, program administrator, Utah State Office of Rehabilitation. SEDL staff participating in the meeting included John D. Westbrook, project director; Kathleen Murphy, program associate; and Peter A. de Forest, program specialist. In addition, the meeting included Chad Nye, executive director of the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) at the University of Central Florida.
